Episode 33 Eggtastic

As you can guess we have EGGS!! the girls started laying eggs on 11.11.11 and we have had at least 2 eggs every day since then, 1 day we did have 3 eggs. There are so tasty. I am hoping it continues all winter long and the production should include because I think only 3 of them maybe 4 are laying right now.

Amanda and I went to another cooking class which was a lot of fun and the food was awesome.

That same afternoon we went to the Yardgood shop and she purchased a skein of yarn and 2 sets of circular needles…yes you know what that means-she has the knitting bug.

Sticks&Strings:

I have some photos of a couple of project which I wasnt able to include in last weeks show notes

Ethan's Christmas Sweater

Just to recap this is the Caelum. The blue yarn (which is berroco vintage)  isn’t as dark as it seems in this photo…and I purchased butterscotch buttons to go on the collar.

There is Cayden’s sweater which I am very happy with it is the Diplodocus. It is also knitted with Berroco Vintage yarn, which will be prefect for child knits so their mother doesn’t have to worry about washing directions.

That Should Cover it:

We are at the final step on our Quilt:

The binding-I am including two video for the finally step I will show you how to cut your binding and how to attach it to the quilt by sewing it on with a machine. and shows you how to meter your corners! great video

She does suggest you use Steam a Seam to attach the back of the binding which I DO NOT SUGGEST!!!! I would only do this for a wall hanging or something that will not be used..if I were to do this I would still stitch it down by hand

This video is about hand stitching the back down.

I am excited to announce that the prize for the SAL is being offer by our Sponsor: The Fat Quarter Shop It is a Gift Certificate to their Shop for $20.
